Lebanon football in 2016, a team coming off a 6-4 season that hadn’t won a playoff game in five years, and never a state championship.

A determined group of 18 seniors, gave Lebanon High Football their greatest season yet.

Coach Ty Tomlin took over Lebanon’s football program four years ago, and it hardly started with a splash. The team went 1-8 the first season but they had a plan and the players gave it their all for the last four years.

“It’s about what you can do when you put your mind to it,” Tomlin said. “We aren’t the biggest, strongest or fastest, and when we step on the field, we don’t look like the better team. But we constantly preached to the kids about being good, young men and believing in something if you put your mind to it.

This win was more than just an accomplishment for the Football team but a win for the whole community of Lebanon. “This town has rallied around us.” quarterback Ty Hargis said.
